Title: Icecaps to Icebergs

Doug is based up in Scotland where he is Head of Paddlesports at the Scottish National Outdoor Training Centre, Glenmore Lodge. As a BCU Level 5 Coach a lot of his year is spent coaching paddlers on the sea and rivers of Scotland and further a field.

For the last 20 years Doug has been paddling the coastlines and rivers of the UK as well as expeditions and trips to Norway, the Alps, Sardinia, Corsica, Iceland, Nepal, India and Turkey. Of the countries Doug has explored one has stood out more than the others and due to this he has now been there on 9 expeditions, totalling over a year of his life. This amazing country is Greenland and ‘Icecaps to Icebergs’ shows the best this country has to offer with a presentation of stunning photography, music, history and stories. It will show how the sea kayak is the ideal way to fully explore the incredible Greenland coastline and provide the information and inspiration to tempt any kayaker to go and explore it for themselves.
